You can directly schedule with a specialist through your MyKelseyOnline account or by calling the Contact Center at 713-442-0427.

Should you need to be referred to a non-Kelsey-Seybold specialist, we are affiliated with thousands of specialists in the Houston area and will coordinate your referral and care to an outside affiliate specialist.

Kelsey Specialty Consult with a Kelsey-Seybold Specialist (Provider-initiated service)

*Available to UnitedHealthcare health plan Individual and Family plan members.

Another way members can save time and money is through Kelsey-Seybold’s Kelsey Specialty Consult service with a specialist physician. If there is a recommended follow up with a specialist where an Kelsey Specialty Consult would be appropriate, your provider will discuss this option with you and initiate the specialist consult at no additional cost to you. Kelsey Specialty Consults can save patients time and money by avoiding an in-person specialty appointment later. Members can have peace of mind that they are receiving the comprehensive, coordinated care from Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.

What is an Kelsey Specialty Consult?

An Kelsey Specialty Consult is a provider-to-provider virtual care service that allows one provider quick access to a Kelsey-Seybold specialist's expertise at no additional cost to the patient.

How does an Kelsey Specialty Consult work?

During an office visit, a provider may determine that an Kelsey Specialty Consult would be helpful to confirm or enhance a diagnosis and/or treatment plan. The provider will submit an order to the specialty department through our secure electronic medical record and receive a response from the specialist regarding the inquiry. Kelsey Specialty Consult results are delivered to the patient by the ordering provider.
