Helene Sheena, Pediatrician at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Tanglewood, Appointed to Newcomb Alumnae Association Board of Directors
Houston (May 4, 2016) – Helene Sheena, M.D., Pediatrician at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Tanglewood, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Newcomb Alumnae Association (NAA), the women’s undergraduate alumnae association at Tulane University. Dr. Sheena will serve on the student committee and the Women to Women Mentoring Program.
“Newcomb College holds a very dear place in my heart – it was the place where I acquired the foundation that I needed to become a successful medical professional,” said Dr. Sheena. “I am honored to serve alongside my fellow board of director peers at Newcomb College Institute and hope to positively impact the lives of female students at this school, including two of my daughters who are there pursuing their undergraduate degrees in Neuroscience.”
The NAA is the women's undergraduate alumnae association at Tulane University. Founded in 1910 as the Alumnae Association of Newcomb College, the NAA is affiliated with the Newcomb College Institute and offers programing and services to Newcomb College graduates and all undergraduate Tulane alumnae.
The NAA's mission is to strengthen personal, collegiate and professional connections among its members. The Association honors the legacy of the H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College by supporting undergraduate women's education at the Newcomb College Institute and Tulane University.
