If you have already scheduled an appointment after January 12, 2026 with your WellMed provider, Kelsey-Seybold is scheduling those appointments for you at your provider’s new Kelsey-Seybold location. You will receive a reminder from Kelsey-Seybold before your appointment.

Schedule by Telephone. You can reach our 24/7 Patient Access Center at 713-442-0111 any time to schedule both primary care and specialty appointments. You will speak with a knowledgeable, local representative who can assist you. Specialty appointments are available in more than 65 specialties.

Schedule Online. To schedule primary and specialty care appointments online after January 19, 2026, you can set up a MyKelseyOnline account. Get personalized help by calling the MyKelseyOnline Help Desk at 713-442-6565, seven days a week, 7am to 9pm. Prior to calling, download the MyKelseyOnline app by going to the App Store (Apple) or the Google Play store (Android). You can also self-schedule without password and login needed, by going to Kelsey-seybold.com, Find A Doctor.

• Schedule Online: Schedule primary care appointments and many specialty appointments through your “MyKelseyOnline” account or on the MyKelsey App. You can also self-schedule online with ANOW. Make an Appointment.
• Schedule by phone: Our 24/7 Contact Center is available to schedule primary and specialty care appointments for you and your family. Call 713-442-0111.

Yes, Kelsey-Seybold offers Virtual Visits, including Video Visits and E-visits*, 7 days a week including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Virtual Care is provided by local, highly qualified Kelsey-Seybold providers. You will need to be registered on MyKelseyOnline.com or download the MyKelsey app to be able to conduct a Virtual Visit with a Kelsey-Seybold provider. For more information about Video Visits and E-Visits at Kelsey-Seybold, visit https://www.kelsey-seybold.com/virtualcare.

No action is required on your part regarding your medical record for continued care when your provider joins Kelsey-Seybold. You do not need to obtain medical records from WellMed. After joining Kelsey-Seybold, your provider will be able to access your secure medical information at WellMed for the purpose of your treatment. However, if you would like to obtain a copy of your medical record from WellMed for your own records, contact wellmedhealthcare.com.

Stay in close touch with your Primary Care provider about your treatment. In many cases, you may be redirected to a Kelsey-Seybold specialist. You will be contacted by your Primary Care provider regarding a transition to Kelsey-Seybold specialists. There may be times where an exception is necessary. Please reach out to your primary care doctor to find out if your case is eligible for a continuity of care exception.

Kelsey-Seybold offers highly qualified physicians in more than 65 medical specialties including cardiology, oncology/hematology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, and neurology. Your primary care provider will prioritize your specific needs in choosing specialists.

If you are in a Medicare Advantage plan: At Kelsey-Seybold, we strive to coordinate all of your care needs within our clinics and facilities. If it’s necessary to be seen for services that cannot be rendered within our network, then your Primary Care Provider will work with you to obtain a referral for an outside physician. You can see Kelsey-Seybold specialists with no referral required. Please note that you do not need a referral for Emergency Care.

If you are in a Fee for Service PPO plan: Most PPO plans do not require a referral to see a specialist. For more information on Kelsey-Seybold specialists, call our 24/7 Patient Access Center at 713-442-0111, or visit kelsey-seybold.com/findadoctor. To learn more about your health plan’s requirements, check your plan benefits website or contact your company’s benefits office. Your plan benefit website is typically available on your Insurance ID card.

When you need care from a medical specialist, your provider will coordinate your care with the appropriate specialist. Kelsey-Seybold offers highly qualified specialist physicians in more than 65 medical specialties. In most cases, you can make appointments with Kelsey-Seybold specialists directly, “without a referral from your provider.”

In specific situations, your doctor will refer you to a specialist “outside of Kelsey-Seybold.” This is based on your specific medical need. It requires a referral from your provider. Examples include heart surgeons and neurosurgeons.

In these situations, you will pay the same cost as if you were receiving care from a Kelsey-Seybold specialist.

If you need on-site translation during your in-person appointment, please be sure to inform the Patient Access Center when you schedule your appointment.

Your WellMed provider, who has transitioned to Kelsey-Seybold, is key to helping manage your chronic conditions. If you are already in a care plan with your Primary Care provider, be sure to get the medical testing and visits they recommend. In addition, you may be referred to Kelsey-Seybold specialists for care. Kelsey-Seybold specialists coordinate your care with your Primary Care provider. For most specialty appointments, you can call the 24/7 Contact Center at 713-442-0111 and schedule directly, with no referral needed.

You can get your medical testing, imaging, and specialist visits, “all under one roof.” Your doctors share a common medical record, supporting seamless coordinated care. You may be enrolled in specialized Disease Management Programs by your doctor. These programs support your care.

If you are seeing your WellMed primary care provider at Kelsey-Seybold, you do not need to bring any information. Your WellMed provider will have access to your confidential medical information for the purpose of delivering your care.

Be sure to update your physician on any changes in your medications or supplements you’re taking. For example, you may receive prescriptions outside of your care with your primary care physician, through a visit to an Urgent Care or Emergency Room.

Emergency room services are covered in your plan. If you, or a family member, are experiencing a serious medical emergency, you should call 911 or go to the nearest medical facility offering emergency care. Emergency situations can be defined as a “life-threatening or limb-threatening” situation, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, uncontrolled bleeding, and signs of a stroke. 

Seeking care in the emergency room for non-life- or limb-threating conditions can be a costly choice to you in situations where other, more affordable options are available.

If you do receive care in the emergency room, be sure to notify your provider as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing symptoms which you believe are non-life-threatening, call your provider’s office for help. For help after-hours, reach out to the Kelsey-Seybold After Hours Nurse Triage team at 713-442-0111. This specialized team of highly trained, local nurses provides individualized medical support. They can provide guidance, engage the Provider on Call for you, and direct you to Urgent or Emergency Care if needed.

Kelsey-Seybold offers same-day and next-day in-person appointments Monday – Friday at 40+ locations, and at 4 regional locations on Saturdays (Bay Area Campus, Ft. Bend Campus, Memorial Villages Campus, and North Houston Campus), and Virtual Visit appointments. Virtual care appointments with a Kelsey-Seybold provider are available 7 days a week until 9 p.m. for adults. Virtual Visits can be scheduled on MyKelseyOnline or through our 24/7 Contact Center at 713-442-0111.

To ensure you can be seen in a timely manner, we always recommend scheduling an appointment first. In most instances, you can be seen the same day. For personalized assistance, call the 24/7 Patient Access Center at 713-442-0111.

For planned, non-emergency care, your provider will direct you to an affiliated hospital that will best meet your medical needs. Rely on your physician to direct your hospital-based care. Affiliate hospitals commonly used by Kelsey-Seybold providers include specific facilities with CHI St. Luke’s, Memorial Hermann, certain Houston Methodist facilities (Methodist – SugarLand and Methodist-Willowbrook), and HCA Houston Hospitals including The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. If you need care from a medical specialist, your provider will coordinate your care with the appropriate Kelsey-Seybold specialist or an affiliated specialist in the community. Kelsey-Seybold offers specialists in more than 65 medical specialties.

You will receive nationally-accredited cancer care from the Kelsey-Seybold Cancer Center. locations offered throughout the greater Houston area. Kelsey-Seybold’s experienced team of oncologists and hematologist physicians will develop an individualized treatment plan for you based on nationally recognized treatment standards. The Kelsey-Seybold Cancer Centers offer state-of-the-art technology, including the Varian TruBeam for radiation therapy and the Varian Edge for motion management and patient safety during treatment. Kelsey-Seybold also works with other cancer centers, including the CHI St. Luke's Cancer Center, based on the patient’s specific needs. If there is a specific cancer that Kelsey-Seybold does not treat, your Kelsey-Seybold provider(s) will refer you to an affiliate provider and coordinate your care with that provider group.

Our patients receive coordinated, personalized care from a team of Hematology, Oncology, infusion, and radiation specialists. Our Cancer Center locations deliver state-of-the-art treatment for tumors of the brain, spine, lung, breast, prostate, head, neck, and more, including highly complex cancer care.

Kelsey-Seybold Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) provide convenient access to safe outpatient surgical services and procedures close to home for patients with locations across Greater Houston.

If you are in immediate need of a prescription refill, there are a few options for refill approvals while you set up your care with Kelsey-Seybold providers:

• Option 1: Contact your current doctor(s) and request a one-time approval for a 30-day refill.
• Option 2: Contact the pharmacy where you last filled your prescription and ask them to get a refill exception from your current provider for 30 days.
• Option 3: Schedule a Video Visit or in-person visit with a Kelsey-Seybold provider who will be able to review your current medications and write a new prescription order.
