  • What menopause care options are available?
Kelsey-Seybold offers several levels of menopause care, ranging from menopause support through primary care and OB/GYN visits to menopause-certified specialists and personalized concierge menopause care.
  • How do I know which option is right for me?
The right option depends on your symptoms, health history, treatment goals, and desired level of support. If you're unsure where to start, any Adult Medicine, OB/GYN, or women's health provider can help guide you to the appropriate level of care.
  • What is Concierge Menopause Care?
Concierge Menopause Care provides enhanced access to Dr. Nina Ali and her care team with longer appointments, personalized care planning, priority scheduling, and ongoing support throughout your menopause journey.
  • Is concierge care required to receive menopause treatment?
No. Women can receive menopause care through menopause-certified OB/GYN providers, general OB/GYN providers, Adult Medicine providers, or through the Concierge Menopause Program based on their needs and preferences.
  • Can I use my insurance?
Medical visits, testing, prescriptions, and treatment are billed separately from any concierge membership fee and may be submitted through your health insurance plan. Coverage varies by insurance provider and benefit plan.
  • Can I move between care options?
Yes. Women may transition between levels of care as their health needs evolve over time.
  • What menopause symptoms can be treated?
Care may address concerns such as hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, weight changes, sexual health concerns, hormone therapy management, and other menopause-related symptoms.
  • What types of hormone replacement treatments are offered?
Hormone therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Depending on your symptoms, health history, and treatment goals, options may include estrogen therapy, progesterone, combination hormone therapy, and vaginal estrogen treatments. Your provider will discuss the benefits, risks, and options that may be appropriate for you.
  • What are hormone pellets, and does Kelsey-Seybold recommend as part of hormone replacement or therapy options?
Hormone pellets are implanted under the skin to release hormones over time. While some providers offer pellet therapy, these products are not FDA-approved for menopause treatment. Kelsey-Seybold focuses on evidence-based therapies that have been studied for safety and effectiveness and are consistent with current clinical guidelines.
  • Is this menopause or perimenopause?
Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause and can begin several years before periods stop completely. Menopause is officially defined as 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. Many symptoms associated with menopause actually begin during perimenopause.
  • Should I take hormones and what are the risks and benefits if so?
Hormone therapy can be an effective treatment for symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. However, the benefits and risks vary based on your age, health history, symptoms, and personal preferences. A menopause specialist can help determine whether hormone therapy is right for you.
  • Why am I gaining weight?
Changes in hormone levels during perimenopause and menopause can affect how the body stores fat, particularly around the abdomen. Aging, stress, sleep disruption, and changes in activity levels can also contribute. A personalized approach that includes nutrition, exercise, sleep, and overall health can help support weight management.
  • Is menopause affecting my sex life?
It can. Hormonal changes during menopause may contribute to vaginal dryness, discomfort during intimacy, reduced libido, or changes in arousal. The good news is that treatment options are available, and many women find significant improvement with the right care plan.
  • Does menopause impact my long-term health? What can be done?
Menopause can affect bone health, cardiovascular health, sleep, metabolism, and overall well-being. Preventive care, healthy lifestyle habits, regular screenings, and appropriate treatment when needed can help support your long-term health during and after menopause.

  • Could I be in perimenopause?
If you're experiencing changes in your menstrual cycle, hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, or other symptoms in your late 30s, 40s, or early 50s, you may be entering perimenopause. A healthcare provider can help evaluate your symptoms and rule out other possible causes.
  • Are my symptoms normal?
Many symptoms are common during perimenopause and menopause, including hot flashes, night sweats, sleep issues, brain fog, mood changes, fatigue, weight changes, and vaginal dryness. While common, that doesn't mean you have to simply live with them. Effective treatment options may be available.
  • Why don't I feel like myself anymore?
Many women describe feeling different during perimenopause and menopause. Hormonal changes can affect sleep, mood, energy, concentration, and overall well-being. Understanding what's happening and finding the right support can make a meaningful difference.
  • What can I do about hot flashes and night sweats?
Several treatment options may help reduce hot flashes and night sweats, including hormone therapy, non-hormonal medications, and lifestyle changes. Your provider can help determine which approach is most appropriate based on your symptoms and medical history.
  • Why can't I sleep?
Sleep problems are common during perimenopause and menopause. Hormonal changes, night sweats, stress, and other health factors can all contribute. Identifying the cause of your sleep disruption is an important first step in finding effective solutions.
  • Is hormone therapy right for me?
Hormone therapy may be appropriate for many women, but the decision should be based on your symptoms, health history, age, and personal preferences. A menopause specialist can help you understand your options and decide what's best for you.
  • What is causing brain fog and low energy?
Many women experience difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, reduced mental clarity, or fatigue during perimenopause and menopause. Hormonal changes, sleep disruption, stress, and other medical conditions may all play a role. A comprehensive evaluation can help identify contributing factors and treatment options.
  • Why has my sex drive changed?
Changes in hormone levels, sleep quality, stress, mood, and physical comfort can all affect sexual desire during menopause. These changes are common, and treatment options are available to help address concerns and improve quality of life.

The right choice depends on your symptoms, treatment goals, and the level of support you're seeking. Whether you prefer traditional menopause care or a more personalized concierge experience, our team can help you find the option that best fits your needs and lifestyle.
