Outpatient Pain Management Procedures

At both of our Ambulatory Surgery Center – Berthelsen Main Campus and our North Houston Campus, we use state-of-the-art technology to increase mobility and reduce pain without surgery.

The outpatient procedures we offer to help with acute and chronic pain cases include:

• Radiofrequency nerve ablations
• Pain injections
• Cervical thoracic and lumbar epidural injections
• Nerve root block epidural injections
• Spine joint blocks

We also use these advanced methods for precise localization of needle placement for pain injections and ablations:

• Fluoroscopic guidance machines
• High-definition monitors
• Radiofrequency machine capabilities for nerve ablations

Pain Management Alternatives

With increasing dependency on narcotic pain medications, we recognize the importance of offering alternative pain medication options. For this reason, when patients undergo any surgical procedure at our Ambulatory Surgical Center, we use methods such as nerve block injections and catheter implantation whenever possible not only to avoid narcotic drug use, but also to allow patients to recover at home without having to worry about taking medications.
