Texas Monthly Honors 34 Kelsey-Seybold Physicians as Super Doctors
Houston (February 15, 2011) - Texas Monthly magazine recognized 34 Kelsey-Seybold Clinic physicians in 14 medical specialties as 2010 Texas Super Doctors. Fourteen of the 34 were pediatricians from Kelsey-Seybold Clinic locations throughout the Houston area. The magazine selected honorees after polling physicians statewide, asking them to share the name of a physician they would recommend to a friend or family member.
"We are immensely proud to stand out as exemplary doctors," noted Spencer Berthelsen, M.D., Kelsey-Seybold Clinic board chairman. "We think all Kelsey-Seybold doctors are super, and it would be impossible for Texas Monthly to recognize all of the great physicians who serve the health care needs of Texas. Still, the results this year reflect very well on Kelsey-Seybold Clinic."
Being named a Texas Super Doctor is regarded as a high honor, since more than 52,000 Texas physicians around the state were asked, "To whom would you refer a loved one or one of your patients for medical diagnosis and/or treatment?"
