Summer Creek Clinic Now Open in Humble
New clinic is third major construction project completed in 2014
Houston (October 13, 2014) – To meet increased demand and improve patient experience and convenience, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic has opened a new, $10 million medical office building in Humble. The new Summer Creek Clinic is located at 8233 N. Sam Houston Pkwy. E. Humble, Texas 77396 and replaces Kelsey-Seybold's current Humble Clinic location.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Summer Creek is one of 19 multispecialty clinics in the Greater Houston area. The new clinic is also one of four major construction projects to be completed in 2014, which includes new clinics in Clear Lake and The Woodlands as well as a remodel of the Tanglewood Clinic in the Galleria area. Summer Creek Clinic is a part of an aggressive $200 million capital investment that Kelsey-Seybold is making in the Houston area.
"Our focus has always been to provide convenient, high-quality care that is close to home for our patients. In order to maintain our level of commitment and service to our Humble-area patients, we needed a new facility that could accommodate the increased growth in this residential area," said Twila Darnell, clinic administrator for Summer Creek and Kingwood clinics. "We look forward to welcoming our existing patients and greeting new ones as we settle into our new clinic."
The two-story Summer Creek Clinic will double the current square footage to 36,000 with enough room for 15 physicians at its capacity. Patients will have access to physicians specializing in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology and Pulmonary Medicine with plans to add additional specialties including Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, Spine, Surgery, Dermatology and Urology.
In addition to all physicians and medical services offered in the same building, the new Summer Creek Clinic will offer expanded medical and diagnostic testing to include general radiology, CAT scan, MRI, and a cardiology lab. Patients will have the added convenience of an onsite pharmacy to fill prescriptions.
The new Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Summer Creek Clinic was designed by Kirksey Architecture. Gamma Construction was the general contractor for this project.
