Second Annual Hope Through Grace Walkathon Begins March 24

Event honors colorectal cancer survivors, raises funds for preventive screenings
 
WHAT:
The 2nd Annual Hope Through Grace Walk-a-Thon
Spring is here! A good time to get outside for that fresh air and stretch the legs! That’s why Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is teaming up with the Hope Through Grace, Inc., organization for the Second Annual Hope Through Grace Walkathon.
Hope Through Grace invites teams and individuals to participate and help stamp out colorectal cancer. In addition to enjoying the fresh air and sharing good company, the walk will help to raise funds to provide funds for screening and aid community outreach and education about preventing Colorectal Cancer.
Colon cancer survivors will be honored during the walk and in a closing ceremony. All walkers will receive a T-shirt as thanks for participating in the event.
Hope Through Grace also encourages individual donations and

WHY:
March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month!
To honor those who have battled colorectal cancer, their family members and survivors, Hope Through Grace is working with individuals and corporations throughout Houston. The event helps to fundraise for education and preventive screenings for those who could not otherwise afford them.
After surviving her own bout with colorectal cancer, Grace L. Butler, Ph.D., President, CEO and founder of Hope Through Grace, dedicated herself to carrying the awareness message about colorectal cancer to everyone she meets. Hope Through Grace is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization for cancer prevention, early detection, and cancer survivorship.
