Woodlands Dermatologist to discuss prevention and treatment methods
WHAT:
You're at the beach and you're feeling the burn. So maybe you aren't applying that sunscreen as thoroughly as you should have. But remember this: A day of fun in the sun could cause a lifetime of damage to your skin. And because most Americans don't protect their skin from the sun's harmful rays, skin cancer is common in the United States.
On Aug. 7, as part of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic's Healthy Living Webinar series, Dermatologist Brian Ransdell, M.D. will present "The Skin You're In: Treating and Preventing Skin Cancer."
Guests are invited to listen and e-mail their questions to Dr. Ransdell, who will answer questions following his presentation.
WHY:
One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime, according to current estimates reported by the American Academy of Dermatology.
WHO:
Anyone interested in protecting their skin!
WHEN:
Friday, Aug. 7
12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The presentation will run from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. and will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session.
