Kelsey-Seybold Donates to Area Flood Victims
Houston (July 5, 2016) – On Friday, July 1, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic employees rallied around community members in Fort Bend, Brazoria and Montgomery counties affected by the recent flooding and donated more than 1,500lbs of much needed items to four local organizations.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic's 3000 employees were asked to drop off donations at any of the 20 Kelsey-Seybold locations or at the Kelsey-Seybold Pearland Administrative Building.
Organizations accepting Kelsey-Seybold Clinic's donations include:
- Multi-Agency Recovery Center in Fort Bend
- Brazoria County Dream Center
- Interfaith of The Woodlands
- SPCA of Brazoria County
"Kelsey-Seybold's culture has always been one of caring. Our employees exemplify this professionally when working with our patients but also personally. Everyone pitched in and donated what they could to make this campaign a success," said Tony Lin, M.D., chairman of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. "We hope that our contributions help those affected by the floods."
For the hundreds of families affected by the floods, recovery efforts will continue for months and employees were asked to donate essential items like: diapers and wipes, apparel, cleaning supplies, food, pet supplies and personal grooming items. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic employees donated more than 100 cans of baby formula, 500 bars of soap, 300 containers of shampoo, 1700 diapers and more than 100 rolls of paper towels.
