Kelsey Seybold Clinic Opens New Multispecialty Care Center in Meyerland Plaza
Houston (April 1, 2013) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic will open the doors to new patients at a brand new custom-designed medical facility in Meyerland Plaza on Monday, April 8, 2013. New and existing Kelsey-Seybold patients can see any of the 25 physicians in nine medical specialties with the added convenience of "one-stop-shopping," including labs and X-rays, under one roof.
All Kelsey-Seybold physicians and clinical professionals are connected through an electronic medical record and patients have access to a secure patient portal, MyKelseyOnline, which allows them to communicate with their medical team from their computer or mobile device.
The new Clinic, which is located in the iconic space previously occupied by Borders Books and Planet Music, will occupy 72,000 square feet of space. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic at Meyerland Plaza is located at 560 Meyerland Plaza Mall.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Meyerland Plaza will become the 21st Kelsey-Seybold Clinic multispecialty care center location in the Greater Houston area, following a series of successful clinic openings in Pearland, Cinco Ranch and, most recently, Downtown at The Shops at Houston Center.
"We have been wanting to expand in the Meyerland/Bellaire area for a long time. So when the prime corner of Meyerland Plaza became available, we knew that this would be a very convenient location for our patients," said Spencer Berthelsen, M.D., Chairman and Medical Director for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. "The Meyerland Plaza clinic will help us maintain the high level of service and access we provide to those living and working in central Houston."
Meyerland Plaza Clinic will offer primary care and specialty care services including Dermatology, Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics – Sports Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Rheumatology. Other clinical experts available to patients onsite include a registered dietician and certified diabetes educator. The new clinic will offer patients an experience that is both calming and professional with onsite access to amenities including free Wi-Fi, hospitality seating, and laptop counters in patient waiting areas. Patients will also have the added convenience of filling prescriptions at the onsite Kelsey Pharmacy located at street level.
The Meyerland location offers routine diagnostic services, including laboratory, X-ray and immunization services.

After opening its Meyerland Plaza Clinic, Kelsey-Seybold will then expand certain specialty departments at Main Campus like the Ambulatory Surgery Center and the new Radiation Therapy Cancer Center.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Meyerland Plaza was designed by architecture firm Page Southerland Page, LLP and Gamma Construction Company was the general contractor for this project.
