Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Closes on Land for New, Standalone Multispecialty Clinic in Kingwood Area

Clinic will be centrally located to serve Kingwood and new developments near the Grand Parkway and Highway 59

Houston (November 08, 2018) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic closed on 5.5 acres of land today in unincorporated Montgomery County on the North-bound side of Highway 59, just north of Northpark Drive. The closing is the next step in the development of the new Kingwood Clinic, a three-story, multispecialty clinic serving the Kingwood, Porter, and New Caney areas, as well as new residential developments near the Grand Parkway and Highway 59.

“We are all so happy to have secured the property that will transform over the next 15 months to become the new Kingwood Clinic,” said Sebastian Scobercea, M.D., Managing Physician, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Kingwood. “The Kingwood area continues to demonstrate its strength and resilience following the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey, and the progress made over the last year is truly amazing. We’re proud to be part of this community and look forward to welcoming our patients back to our new, and expanded, clinic in 2020.”

Once completed, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Kingwood will be located at 25553 U.S. Highway 59, Porter, TX 77365. Until the new clinic opens Kelsey-Seybold will continue to see Kingwood patients at the Summer Creek Clinic located at 8233 North Sam Houston Pkwy. E, Humble, TX 77396.

The new Kingwood Clinic will increase in size from 20,000 square feet to nearly 55,000 square feet, and patients will have access to an expanded capacity in primary care, including internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. In addition to the expanded capacity, Kelsey-Seybold Kingwood Clinic may add new specialties, such as pulmonary, cardiology, physical medicine and rehabilitation/spine, and optometry to an already robust list of specialties that includes allergy, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopedics – sports medicine, and podiatry.

The new clinic will also offer new diagnostic services, 3D (Tomosynthesis) digital mammography, cardiac stress testing, and will also include mobile CT and MRI. The clinic will continue to offer X-ray, DEXA and ultrasound testing.

Kelsey-Seybold selected Kirksey Architecture to design the new clinic. Houston-based, Gamma Construction, is the general contractor for this project.
