Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Announces New Clinic, Merging Primary Care and Virtual Care
Houston (March 21, 2019) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic will begin construction on a new, 2,200-square-foot location in the Downtown Tunnels, beneath the Niels and Millie Esperson Buildings. The Downtown Tunnels are a system of underground walking paths that connect 95 city blocks for 6 miles. The new clinic will be located at 815 Walker, suite T-14A in Houston and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.
“Since 1975, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic has had a location in the downtown area. Eight years ago, we built a new clinic – Downtown at the Shops – to expand our services and specialties to meet the growing needs of our patients,” said Tony Lin, M.D., chairman and managing director of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “The addition of this new primary care location in the Downtown Tunnels will make it easier for individuals who work west of Main Street to walk to a Kelsey-Seybold provider.”
The newly added location will have room for one medical provider and space for two Virtual Care exam rooms, where patients can connect with primary and specialty care physicians in a secure environment.
The new clinic hours will mirror that of sister clinic, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Downtown at The Shops at 4 Houston Center, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Patients seen at the new clinic and who are in need of prescription medications may request same-day delivery if their office is within the 77002 zip code.
