Kelsey-Seybold Breaks Ground on New Humble Clinic

New clinic part of $200 million capital investment campaign across the greater Houston area

Houston (March 5, 2014) – To meet increased demand and improve patient experience and convenience, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic has begun construction on a new $10.8 million medical office building in Humble. The new Summer Creek Clinic will open in the fall of 2014, and is located at 8233 N. Sam Houston Pkwy. E. Humble, Texas 77396. The new clinic will replace Kelsey-Seybold's current Humble Clinic location.

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Summer Creek will be one of 19 multispecialty clinics in the Greater Houston area. The new clinic is also one of three new Kelsey-Seybold locations to open 2014 which includes new clinics in Clear Lake and The Woodlands. Summer Creek Clinic is a part of an aggressive $200 million capital investment that Kelsey-Seybold is making in the Houston area.

"For some time now, the Humble area has seen rapid residential expansion in the Beltway-East area. Kelsey-Seybold's focus has always been to provide convenient, high-quality care in the community where our patients live. To maintain this level of commitment and service for our Humble residents, an expanded location that offers easy convenient access is necessary," said Twila Darnell, clinic administrator for Summer Creek and Kingwood clinics.

The two-story Summer Creek Clinic will double the current square footage to 36,000 with enough room for 15 physicians at its capacity. Patients will have access to physicians specializing in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology and Pulmonary Medicine with plans to add additional specialties including Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, Spine, Surgery, Dermatology and Urology.

In addition to all physicians and medical services offered in the same building, the new Summer Creek Clinic will offer expanded medical and diagnostic testing to include general radiology, CAT scan, MRI, and a cardiology lab. Patients will have the added convenience of an onsite pharmacy to fill prescriptions.

Physicians at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Humble will continue to see patients at the current 8484 Will Clayton Pkwy. location until the new Summer Creek Clinic opens this fall.

The new Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Summer Creek Clinic was designed by Kirksey Architecture. Gamma Construction is the general contractor for this project.
