Celebrating Breast Cancer Survivors

The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Breast Cancer Support Group hosts special program in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

WHAT:   The Kelsey-Seybold Breast Cancer Support Group celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month each year
               during their October meeting. This year, the group will host a special program that highlights the    
               advantages of a team approach to breast cancer care. Attendees will hear from four Kelsey-Seybold 
               breast cancer care physicians, including the chief of the cancer department, an oncologist, a Chief of
               Surgery and a reconstructive surgeon.

WHO:    "TJ" Tejash Patel, M.D., Hematology/Oncology
               Panel discussions will be led by:
              Tri Vu, M.D., Hematology/Oncology
               Dr. Vu will discuss recent and emerging updates in breast cancer treatment and research.
              Jamal Bullocks, M.D., F.A.C.S., Cosmetic Reconstruction Surgeon    
              In honor of BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) Day on October 16, Dr. Bullocks will discuss the   
              importance of having a medical team approach when engaging in breast reconstructive surgery. He will
              also discuss reconstructive surgery options for women, including DIEP Flap.
              Treneth Baker, M.D., Chief of General Surgery 
              Dr. Baker will discuss the importance of mammograms and recent trends in breast cancer
