We offer diabetes education classes, certified diabetes educators and registered dietitians to provide you the information and motivation you need to help lead a healthier lifestyle.Diabetes Education ClassesKelsey-Seybold Clinic offers diabetes education classes to help you manage your diabetes. These classes provide an overview of diabetes, monitoring blood sugars, taking medications, meal planning and exercising to help patients minimize or avoid diabetes-related complications. Certified diabetes educators specialize in the education and management of diabetes and are available to provide individualized educational counseling. Together with your physician, our certified diabetes educators will help steer you through your treatment plan, help you problem solve, and help you reduce risks for complications and cope with lifestyle changes.Our certified diabetes educators include diabetes nurse educators and registered dietitians who provide one-on-one support. They work as part of your diabetes care team to provide coordinated learning activities. Kelsey-Seybold certified diabetes educators are available at our Main Campus, Clear Lake Medical Center, Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center, West Clinic, and Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center. These healthcare professionals provide individualized nutritional counseling. Kelsey-Seybold registered dietitians are available at multiple Houston-area locations, including Main Campus, Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center, Clear Lake Medical Center, Kelsey-Seybold at The Vintage, Cypress Clinic, and Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center. Find your location.Who Is Eligible?All HMOs cover diabetes education (certified diabetes educators and diabetes education classes) and visits with registered dietitians. A co-pay (amount varies by health plan) is required for each diabetes education class.PPO and POS coverage varies. Check with your insurance company.
