With E-visits, you'll communicate online with a Kelsey-Seybold Provider about your medical situation. You can start an E-visits through your secure MyKelseyOnline (MKO) account and you’ll receive a response in an hour or less! ​​​​​ ​

Here’s How t​o Get an E-Visit
  1. Log into your MyKelseyOnline account and select “Start an E-visit.” If you don’t have a MyKelseyOnline account, call the MKO Help Line at 713-442-6565.
  2. Answer a few short questions about your symptoms.
  3. Submit your credit card information. Your medical advice will be delivered within one hour. This may include prescriptions to be filled at the Pharmacy of your choice.


​If your condition cannot be treated during the E-visit, your credit card will not be charged and an in-office appointment can be made.

**The MyChart App does not support E-visits at this time.

E-Visit Details

E-visits are available to patients ages 4-17 (Pediatric) and 18 years and older enrolled in a KelseyCare health plan.

Adult and Pediatric E-visit Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sat. & Sun. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The fee for an E-visit can vary and will depend on your specific health insurance plan. The fee is generally lower than a typical primary care co-pay. If your health plan does not cover E-visits then you will be charged a flat fee of $15.

Special Notice to KelseyCare Advantage members: E-visits are now covered as a value-added benefit. Your copay will depend on your health plans specific benefit design. Most copays are $5 or less.

E-visits are offered as a value-added convenience for KelseyCare members. Charges for E-visits do not accumulate toward your Maximum Out of Pocket (MOOP) expense.

Adult & Pediatric E-visit FAQ​​​

Q: I have KelseyCare Advantage – does the $15 charge still apply?
A: The E-visit is a value-added convenience and is not covered by insurance plans at this time. Your KelseyCare Advantage office visit copay would not apply. The $15 is a flat charge that is the same for any member utilizing the service (whether their co-pay is less or more than the charge).

E-visits are offered as a convenience for members. The $15 is charged at the completion of the E-visit. If the provider determines you need an office visit, you would not be charged the $15 and your office visit co-pay would apply.

If you do use the service, and the Physician Assistant orders a test (like blood work, urinalysis, etc.), or prescribes medication you can expect to be covered under your normal benefits.

Q: What happens if I am prescribed a medication during my E-visit?
A: The provider will be able to send your prescription to the Pharmacy of your choice.

Q: What happens if I need to have labs or tests done?
A: Our providers can order the necessary tests, which you can complete at the Clinic of your choice. Your results will be sent through MyKelseyOnline or by phone.

A: The following symptoms can be treated:

Q: How do I start an E-visit?

Q: Is this available for pediatric patients?
A: E-visits are available to patients 4-17 years of age that are enrolled in a KelseyCare health plan.

Q: Who will conduct the E-visit with my child?
A: E-visits for Pediatric patie​nts will be conducted by a Kelsey-Seybold Pediatrician. The Pediatrician will have access to your child's medical records and can also update your child's primary pediatrician.

Q: What if you don’t have a KelseyCare plan, can you still use E-visits?
A: At this time E-visits are exclusively for KelseyCare members. Even if you are a Kelsey-Seybold patient, but have a plan through United Healthcare, a Cigna PPO or HMO plan, or another insurance carrier, you would not be able to utilize the E-visit service.

Q: Can an E-visit be conducted on the weekends?
A: Yes! E-visits are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Q: What if I can’t be treated during an E-visit – am I still charged?
A: If an in-office visit is needed your credit card would not be charged and the Provider will be able to assist in scheduling an appointment for you at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic/doctor of your choice.

Q: Does an E-visit go toward my annual Out of Pocket Maximum?
A: E-visits are offered as a value-added service for KelseyCare members. Charges do not accumulate toward your Maximum Out of Pocket (MOOP) expense.

Your Visit

Your Adult Medicine E-visit will be conducted by one of our board-certified Physician Assistants.  Your child's Pediatric E-visit will be conducted by a Kelsey-Seybold Pediatrian.  KelseyCare's Telemed​icine Services, which includes E-visits, is overseen by Internal Medicine physician and Associate Medical Director of Healthcare Innovation, Donnie Aga, MD.
  
Please note that, no controlled substances or narcotic pain medications can be prescribed during an E-visit.​
