July 10, 2020

Read to find out more about what Palliative Care is

Palliative Care is specialized medical care for people with serious medical illnesses. Palliative Care is for a person of any age, at any stage of an illness. Its success lies in clinic and home visits for assistance with disease progression, pain management and chronic disease management. Patients can be referred to Palliative Care by their doctor at any time during their illness.

Palliative Care is often confused with Hospice Care, which deals with end-of-life care for patients.

Palliative Care can also provide emotional relief in addition to physical as well as a tremendous support for family members supporting loved ones with serious illnesses. Palliative care works with your existing Kelsey-Seybold physicians to provide an extra layer of support.
