melasma

There is help if you suffer from Melasma.

February 25, 2019

Ginger Zee, anchor on ABC's Good Morning America, recently shared about her struggles with Melasma – a common skin problem that causes brown to gray-brown patches on the face that can be brought about by pregnancy or hormonal changes of any kind. Most people (like Ginger) see the effects of melasma on their cheeks, but it can also be found on the bridge of their nose, forehead, chin and above the upper lip. It can also appear on other parts of the body that get lots of sun, such as the forearms or neck.

Ginger turned to a variety of treatments including chemical peels, over the counter products and a customized prescription solution by her dermatologist, which provided incredible results. If you're struggling with this issue, consider an appointment with one of our board-certified dermatologists, who can help address these issues and alleviate the frustration and anxiety associated with this condition.
