Veronica Garza is a Physician Assistant to Drs. Rosemary Schempp, Evette Kingcaid and Adam Mitchell, who care for patients at our Summer Creek Clinic. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed to practice by the Texas Medical Board. After earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio in 1986, Veronica completed her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1991. Following graduation, she worked as a PA-C at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Gastrointestinal Oncology and Digestive Diseases from 1992-1993. She then joined El Centro Del Barrio, Incorporated – South Park Medical Care Center as a PA-C from 1993-1996. From 1996-1998, Veronica served as a PA-C at Baylor College of Medicine in the Family and Community Medicine Nuestra Clinica. Veronica then rejoined The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 1998 as a PA-C in Radiation Oncology until she joined Kelsey-Seybold in 2017.
Veronica enjoys reading, learning, and spending time with her family.
Fun Facts
Veronica had her sights set on a medical career from a young age because she liked the feeling she got from helping people. The best advice she has ever received is to “always treat people the way you’d want to be treated.” The most interesting place Veronica has visited is Cancun, Mexico.
