In 1997, Dr. Nigam graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College of the University of Pune in India. After graduation, he completed medical residency in India prior to his arrival to the United States. Dr. Nigam spent close to 10 years in basic science and translational research at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then continued medical training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston to complete a residency in Internal Medicine in 2011.
Dr. Nigam is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Society.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Nigam enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and reading.
Dr. Nigam received the Gold Foundation Excellence in Humanism and Teaching Award for 2010-2011.
