Professional Background
Dr. Pratibha Kulkarni is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, India, in 1977 followed by her Diploma and residency in Orthopedic Surgery in 1981. She received her Master of Public Health in 1988 at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she also completed her residency in 1992. She completed the Master Teachers Fellowship program in 2001 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Kulkarni has held numerous academic and professional appointments, including assistant orthopedic surgeon at the Sancheti Institute for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in Pune, India, from 1982 to1986, assistant professor, Department of Medical Specialties at M.D. Anderson from 1992 to 1994, and assistant professor, Department of Community Medicine, at Baylor College of Medicine from 1994 to 2005.
Dr. Kulkarni was in private practice from November 2005 to
December 2020. She joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2021.

When time permits, Dr. Kulkarni enjoys music, gardening, and reading.

Dr. Kulkarni enjoys visiting her granddaughter and watching her grow and learn. She also has an interest in history and enjoyed a family trip to Egypt several years ago.
