​​​Professional Backgr​​ound 

Dr. Poulose earned her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994. In 1995, she completed an internship at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Poulose was appointed Assistant Chief Resident during her residency in Internal Medicine at the Winthrop University Hospital. Throughout her career, Dr. Poulose has acquired a broad range of experience in various sub-specialties including medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology.

Hobbies and Inter​​​ests

When Dr. Poulose is not caring for patients, she enjoys reading and listening to music.​​​​

​I believe my greatest role as a physician is to help my patients prevent chronic illnesses before they occur. I emphasize early screening and detection to my patients and we work together to improve their quality of life.​

Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
