Nisreen S. Husain, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Gastroenterology specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2003 at The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her medical degree in 2007 from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Husain completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2010 at Northwestern University in Chicago and a Gastroenterology/Hepatology fellowship in 2014 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she was Chief GI Fellow from 2013 to 2014. Before joining Kelsey-Seybold in September 2022, she was an assistant professor of medicine in the Gastroenterology Division at Baylor College of Medicine and a Gastroenterology specialist at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.
Dr. Husain is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society.

Dr. Husain enjoys traveling, tennis, and trying new foods.
