Daniela McConnell, MD

Dr. Daniela McConnell earned her undergraduate degree in 2010 at Texas A&M University in College Station where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences with honors, graduating magna cum laude. She then completed her medical degree in 2015 at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) McGovern Medical School. She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2019 at McGovern Medical School. Dr. McConnell joined Kelsey-Seybold in 2019.

Dr. McConnell holds several licenses and certifications, including da Vinci® Surgical System training; NEXPLANNON® (etonogestrol implant) training; neonatal resuscitation; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).

Dr. McConnell is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the American Medical Association (AMA), the Texas Medical Association (TMA), and the Harris County Medical Society.

Dr. McConnell enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, dining adventures, and dancing.  She also enjoys drawing, sewing, gardening, and a good puzzle.  She likes to travel and is a scuba diver and snowboarder. When at home, she likes to binge watch her favorite TV series and exercise.

Fun Facts

Dr. McConnell says the best advice she’s ever received is to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Many people don’t know this about Dr. McConnell, but she has had several zipline adventures despite having an irrational fear of heights. The most memorable was in Alaska where she got stuck in the middle of the longest, highest line and had to be rescued as eagles circled above and bears played in the distance.

The most exotic/interesting place she has lived or visited is Xcaret.  Her favorite book is “The Count of Monte Cristo.” Her guilty pleasures are wine, popcorn, and ice cream.
