​​​Prof​essional Background 

After completing an internship and residency in Internal Medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2012, he served as the Chief of Residency until 2013. He then received a fellowship in cardiovascular disease from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2016.

Dr. Yoon is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Texas Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Hob​​bies and Interests

Dr. Yoon enjoys Brazilian jiu-jitsu and taking care of his pets: two dogs, a rabbit and a parakeet.

Fu​​​n Facts

Dr. Yoon’s favorite dessert is tres leches cake.​​

​I am interested in finding ways to get patients to take charge of their own healthcare and take better care of themselves.  Medication is important, but lifestyle modification can be incredibly powerful in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.
