Kathy Gabriel

Cancer taught Kathy to fight.

“Going through cancer is not a death sentence. Keep God first because no one really knows what you are going through.  Keep your spirits up and laugh and smile as often as possible.  Hang with positive people.”

Kathy Gabriel survived breast cancer not once, but twice. She used the experience to bring out the best in her, though.

“Cancer gave me a spiritual bond with God. Cancer put my organizational skills to use. Cancer taught me to take care of me.  Cancer gave me strength and made me an inspiration to others. Cancer caused me to educate myself and research what I was going through and this way I had an idea what to expect. Cancer taught me to fight.”

“The day you are diagnosed is the day you start fighting and never give up.  Lean not on your own understanding but lean on the lord.  Join a cancer support group and be with people who are going through are have gone through what you are going through.  Each day is a gift so celebrate life."
