V-beam lase can rejuvenate your skin

Vbeam Laser Can Rejuvenate Your Skin

January 21, 2020

Aging, sun exposure, heredity, nutrition, smoking and various lifestyle factors contribute to facial wrinkling and skin blotchiness. But it doesn’t always take decades of living to have skin that needs help.

This pulsed dye laser delivers an intense but gentle burst of light into selected target areas of the skin. Factors such as the skin’s age, color and condition will be determining factors in the outcome.

Conditions suitable for treatment may include:

  • Rosacea on the face
  • Unwanted facial redness
  • Spider vessels on the face and legs
  • Cherry angiomas (small red spots) on the chest, back, legs, arms
  • Hemangiomas (raised, red birthmarks) on babies and children
  • Port wine stains on babies and adults
  • Brown sun spots on the face
  • Fine wrinkling on the face

Laser resurfacing is not painful, but it may require a recovery period of 10 days up to two weeks. By the end of the second week, hypoallergenic make-up can usually be worn. Sunscreen is mandatory in the postoperative period. Most patients are comfortable returning to routine social activities after two weeks.

To maintain the healthy benefits of laser-regenerated skin, patients should dedicate themselves to an extended skin care program.

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis at our Tanglewood Clinic located at 6401 Woodway Drive in Houston.
