Healthy Living Webinar: Heart Disease in Women
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic expert to discuss cardiovascular health risks for women
WHAT:
How much do you know about your heart? New information has been released regarding heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women worldwide. Continuing the Healthy Living Webinar Series, on Oct. 2, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Family Medicine Specialist Alfreda Bell, M.D., will discuss heart disease’s impact on women.
Viewers are invited to submit questions to Dr. Bell, who will answer them following her presentation.
WHY
Women who are educated about heart disease will be better armed with the knowledge they need to prevent it:
- More than 80 million Americans, or one in three, have one or more types of heart disease.
- Worldwide, heart disease is blamed for one-third of all deaths.
- In many countries, including the United States, more women than men die each year of heart disease – a fact largely unknown by physicians.
