KelseyCare® is the Greater Houston area’s “accountable care” plan. KelseyCare is a “select network” health plan in which Kelsey-Seybold physicians and affiliate providers in multiple specialties take responsibility for delivering care and collaborating together to carefully coordinate the care of plan enrollees.
KelseyCare has a proven track record of delivering 15-30% in comparative cost savings, delivering high performance on quality measures and delivering high enrollee satisfaction. KelseyCare has been ranked the market’s “most cost effective plan” by an independent benchmarking study. Members consistently give KelseyCare higher marks for enrollee satisfaction in the annual Consumer Assessment of Health Plan Satisfaction (CAHPS) survey compared to enrollees of competing Houston-area plans.
KelseyCare members benefit from the affordable, high-quality, “coordinated” care delivered by the Houston area’s premier accountable care organization – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Our members can self-refer to hundreds of Kelsey-Seybold physicians and specialists at 20 multi-specialty care centers throughout the greater Houston area with no referral required. The “select network” includes both Kelsey-Seybold and “affiliate provider” physicians.
Members are referred to “affiliate providers” by their Kelsey-Seybold physician and have access to premier hospital facilities. KelseyCare providers regularly refer to St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System hospitals in the Texas Medical Center, Sugar Land, and The Woodlands; Texas Children’s Hospital; Texas Woman’s Hospital; Methodist facilities in Willowbrook and Sugar Land; Clear Lake Regional Hospital; and more.
The KelseyCare plan is offered by leading Houston-area employers including the City of Houston; the City of Sugar Land; the Port of Houston Authority; Menninger Clinic; the St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System; Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America, Inc. (MCFA); the METRO Transit Workers Union; Igloo Products Corporation; MedCare Pediatrics; United Space Alliance; Universal Weather and Aviation; Spark Energy, and others.
