Dr. Thomas, an Adult Clinical Endocrinologist, joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2005. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a sub-certification in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. Dr. Thomas cares for his patients at our Main Campus, Shadow Creek Ranch and Clear Lake Medical and Diagnostic Center locations.
Professional Background
Dr. Thomas graduated from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. In 2001, he finished his internship at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in Internal Medicine and later completed his residency at the college. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Endocrinology and metabolism at UTMB.
Academic and Clinical Position
Dr. Thomas serves as Medical Director of the Kelsey-Seybold’s Osteoporosis Clinic – where he works with Pharmacy residents – and is on the clinical teaching faculty at Baylor College of Medicine.
He is actively involved in teaching Family and Internal Medicine Residents both at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Thomas’ clinic interests are mainly focused in hormonal therapy options in osteoporosis and Type 2 Diabetes. Additionally, he is interested in managing male hypogonadism and Paget’s disease of the bone.

Dr. Thomas has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.

Hobbies and Special Interests
In his free time, Dr. Thomas jogs regularly and plays tennis intermittently. He is active in his church community, and enjoys teaching high school bible classes and working as a youth leader.
