Dr. Daniel joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2003. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and cares for his patients at the Kelsey-Seybold Sleep Center, St. Luke’s Medical Tower, West Clinic, Shadow Creek Ranch and and Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center locations.
Professional Background
Prior to becoming a pulmonologist, Dr. Daniel worked for three years as an intern at the Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. Following his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, he joined the full-time faculty at Baylor College of Medicine. A year later, he joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and now practices Pulmonary, Sleep and Critical Care Medicine.
Academic and Clinical Position
Dr. Daniel is a clinical assistant professor in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine as well as The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Daniel is actively involved in research to help identify the factors that impact the quality of care delivered in the Intensive Care Unit.
“The country currently needs an accountable health care delivery system that is focused on keeping the quality of care extremely high while lowering costs to the minimum possible,” Dr. Daniel says. “There is much that needs to improve in this regard, and my research is focused on doing so.”
Publications
Dr. Daniel has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and is in the process of writing a paper on ICU quality based on research performed in 2008.

Hobbies and Special Interests
When he’s not caring for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic patients, Dr. Daniel enjoys spending time with his children. A sports enthusiast, he also enjoys playing tennis, jogging, skiing, watching movies and going to church with them. He’s also an avid chess player and is interested in astronomy.
