MEET THE DOCTOR
Biography “I treat every patient as if they were the only one in the world.”
Dr. Daas joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in January 2003 and was named Chief of Pulmonary Medicine in 2009. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and cares for his patients at the Kelsey-Seybold Sleep Center, the Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center and St. Luke’s Medical Tower locations.
Professional Background Dr. Daas earned his medical degree at Damascus University College in Syria in 1987. There, he completed his internship at university hospitals in Internal Medicine before going to Michigan State University in 1993 to complete his residency. He followed up his training with a fellowship in Critical Care at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. In addition, he held a fellowship at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 1997.
Academic Position Dr. Daas is a volunteer clinical instructor at Baylor College of Medicine and a volunteer assistant professor at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
Professional Associations Dr. Daas is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Hobbies and Special Interests When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Daas enjoys reading, walking and helping his children with their homework.
