Dr. Kathleen Ryan joined Kelsey-Seybold in 1984. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and cares for her patients at our West Clinic location.
Dr. Ryan completed medical school at the Baylor College of Medicine in 1981. In 1984, she finished her residency in Internal Medicine.
Academic and Clinical Position
Dr. Ryan is an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine, The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
Dr. Ryan’s clinical interests include geriatrics and preventive medicine.
Awards and Recognitions
Dr. Ryan has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes. In addition, Dr. Ryan has been recognized for providing outstanding cardiovascular and stroke care by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) Heart/Stroke Recognition Program. Recognition through the Heart/Stroke Recognition program is achieved as the result of a comprehensive, individualized review process that verifies a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients with cardiovascular disease or who have had a stroke.
