Jonard Zalavarria, M.D. joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in July 2011. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and cares for his hospitalized patients at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. Dr. Zalavarria speaks English and Waray, a dialect spoken in Tacloban City in the Philippines.

Professional Background
Dr. Zalavarria earned his doctorate from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2007. He completed his medical education at UT-Houston with an internship and residency in Internal Medicine in 2010.
 
Academic and Clinical Position
Dr. Zalavarria served as Internal Medicine chief resident and clinical instructor UT-Houston from June 2010 to June 2011.
 
Clinical Interests
Dr. Zalavarria’s interests include hospitalist medicine, as well as cardiovascular and critical care medicine. He also strives for continued medical education and excellence.
