John Colen, M.D. joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2011. He cares for his patients at our Main Campus, Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center and West Clinic locations.
Professional Background
Dr. Colen obtained his undergraduate degree in pre-medicine at the Pennsylvania State University in 2001. Following this, he completed his doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Colen completed his General Surgical internship in 2006 at Baylor College of Medicine where he also finished his Urology residency.

Dr. Colen is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Colen’s clinical interests include general urology with an emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, including robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomies and robotic-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomies. In addition, Dr. Colen’s clinical interests include the management and treatment of urinary stone disease, benign prostatic hypertrophy and voiding dysfunction.
