“I am a strong believer in preventive medicine and immunizations. I also believe in communication, and engage parents in their child’s care and listen to their concerns.
“I was always fascinated by people like Mother Theresa, Helen Keller and Florence Nightingale. Having worked in three different countries, I’ve seen a lot of sickness around me, due to lack of proper care and education. This inspired me to become a doctor and help people.”
Dr. Raoof joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2008. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and cares for her patients at our Katy Clinic.
Professional Background
After receiving her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in India in 1969, Dr. Raoof completed a rotating internship at Gandhi Hospital. In 1974, she completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program with Osmania University in India. When she came to the U.S., she completed a Pediatrics residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Raoof practices general Pediatrics. Her patients, who she sees for well-child checkups, as well as sickness, immunizations and sports physicals, range from birth to 18 years old.
Hobbies and Special Interests
When Dr. Raoof isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, reading and cooking. She also enjoys spending time with her family, 30 members of which are doctors, including her two children who followed in their mother’s footsteps to become pediatricians.
