MEET THE DOCTOR


I believe in giving patients individualized, personal care. I also believe in offering patients additional services and information that they would not normally receive, specifically regarding research studies and the new information and medical advancements that those studies can offer.
Dr. Galler joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 1994. He currently cares for GI patients at the Main Campus.
 
Professional Background
Dr. Galler graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After earning his medical degree from the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. He completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Galler is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners.
 
Academic and Clinical Positions
Currently, Dr. Galler is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He has also served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago.
 
Publications
In 2009, Dr. Galler served as Principal Investigator in a clinical trial on the treatment of Hepatitis C. The trial was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Galler spends much of his time attending to several ongoing research studies currently underway at the Kelsey Research Foundation. He coordinates and runs the Phase III (before FDA approval) and Phase IV (post FDA approval) for these research studies.
 
Professional Associations
He is a member of several medical societies, including the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
 
Hobbies and Special Interests
Dr. Galler is involved with the American Kennel Society with Scottish Terriers. He shows Scottish Terriers locally and is also involved in the Scottish Terrier Club of Houston.
