Atasu Nayak, M.D. joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2004 and is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Nuclear Medicine, Echocardiography, Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Intervention. He joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2004 and cares for patients at Kelsey-Seybold’s St. Luke’s Medical Tower and Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center locations.
 
Professional Background
Dr. Nayak earned his medical degree from Sriram Chandra Bhanja Medical School in India. He completed his internship and residency at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center in New York. He completed a fellowship in Cardiology at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center and the University of Missouri—Columbia. He completed his Intervention Cardiology Fellowship at Lahey Clinic, Boston in 2003.
 
Dr. Nayak is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Intervention.

Academic and Clinical Position
Dr. Nayak has served as a Clinic Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine since 2010. He was Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri—Columbia from 1998 to 2002 and Clinical Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine from 2004 to 2009.  
 
Clinical Interests
Dr. Prasad’s clinical interests include interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular intervention, carotid artery intervention, vascular medicine, closure of patent foramen ovale(PFO), atrial septal defects(ASD) and interventional research.
