Anthony Holbert, M.D. joined Kelsey-Seybold in June 2011. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and cares for his patients at Clear Lake Medical Center.
Professional Background Dr. Holbert received his Bachelor of Science with high honors in chemistry at The University of Texas at Austin in 1995 before completing a Master of Arts in Chemistry at Harvard University in 1997.
After working several years, he earned his doctorate at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2008. Dr. Holbert completed his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine’s Family Medicine Residency Program at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic between July 2008 and June 2011, the last year as chief resident.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Holbert’s clinical interests are in comprehensive care, including preventive and mind-body medicine.
“I am also interested in patient-centered healthcare systems and coordinating care given in different settings, by different specialists, to improve the patients’ experience and quality of care. This helps reduce the burden of both time and money on the patient.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Holbert enjoys cooking (the goal is gourmet health food), working with his wife in their vegetable garden, bicycling, walking the dogs and traveling.
