I believe in providing outstanding personalized medical care utilizing the latest knowledge and technology.
Dr. Nathani joined the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2007, and currently serves as Associate Chief of the Department of Gastroenterology. His practice is predominantly at the Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center. He also sees patients at Kelsey-Seybold at The Vintage.
Professional Background:
Dr. Nathani earned his medical degree at the Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He completed an additional year of General Hepatology at the same institution, where he also earned the title of Chief Fellow. Dr. Nathani is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Academic and Clinical Position
Dr. Nathani served as the Division Chief of Gastroenterology at the Regional Academic Health Center, Internal Medicine Residency Program in Harlingen, Texas for 7 years. He is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine at Houston and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr Nathani has served as the Chief of GI/Pulmonary and Endoscopy committee at the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was awarded Best Teacher Award by the Internal Medicine residents and has received numerous recognition awards.
Clinical Interests:
Dr. Nathani enjoys the entire spectrum of clinical Gastroenterology with a special clinical interest in colorectal cancer screening and therapeutic Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
Publications and Professional Associations:
Dr. Nathani is a fellow of American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). He has authored several publications and national presentations in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Hobbies and Special Interests:
Dr. Nathani enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He loves the games of cricket and tennis. He loves to read and write poetry. He is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Gujrati.
