Mark Turrentine, M.D. joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 1999. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and cares for patients at our West Clinic and Houston Center locations.
Professional Background
Dr. Turrentine has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Psychology and a Masters in Physiology. He earned all of his degrees – undergraduate, graduate and medical – from the University of Missouri. Dr. Turrentine completed his residency program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Awards and Recognitions
Dr. Turrentine has been the recipient of a Physician of the Quarter Award from the Physician Satisfaction Team at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. He was named as one of the top 100 reviewers for 2003 by the Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Academic and Clinical Position
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Turrentine serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for The University of Texas Medical School at Houston’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Services.

Dr. Turrentine’s areas of specialty care include women’s health and clinical research.

Dr. Turrentine has been published in more than 32 peer-reviewed articles.
Professional Associations Dr. Turrentine is a member of the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, Houston Gynecologic and Obstetric Society and a fellow with the American Congress (formerly College) of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Turrentine enjoys listening to all genres of music.
