Professional Background
In 2000, Dr. Ayala Garcia completed medical school at The Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. She then went to Saint Agnes Hospital in White Plains, New York, where she completed an additional year of training in the Fifth Pathway Program with the New York Medical College a year later.
For her Internal Medicine residency, Dr. Ayala Garcia went to Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which she completed in 2004. After residency, she worked for the Veterans Administration Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Guayama, Puerto Rico. She also worked as an Internist at several private hospitals in the metropolitan area of Puerto Rico.
Dr. Ayala Garcia was accepted into The University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine for her Rheumatology fellowship, which she completed in 2009.
