MEET THE DOCTOR
“Prevention is better than cure. But once a health condition is diagnosed, I think it is very important to empower my patients with a comprehensive knowledge about the different treatment options for their medical condition. I strongly believe that once patients understand their body and are given enough information to make good choices, we can then form a strong alliance to optimize their health.”
Dr. Dhanji joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2003. In addition to a board certification in her specialty, she has been the recipient of the Houston Obstetrics and Gynecology Student of the Year Award, and the Catherine Comensky Scholarship Award. She speaks Hindi and Spanish, and cares for her patients at the Houston Center and Silverlake Clinic.
Professional Background
In 1994, Dr. Dhanji received her undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of Houston and earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1999. She completed her residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston shortly before coming to Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
Academic and Clinical Position
Since August, 2003, Dr. Dhanji has served as the attending physician of Obstetrics & Gynecology for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Dhanji’s clinical interests include laparoscopy, contraception, teen counseling, general Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Publications and Professional Associations
In addition to her fellowship with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Dhanji is a member of the Harris County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.
Hobbies and Special Interests
When she’s not caring for patients at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Dr. Dhanji enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering her medical services in local clinics, as well as in Guatemala on a regular basis. She also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and gourmet cooking.
