MEET THE DOCTOR
“I believe that prevention is the best medical care one can provide to his or her patients. In the field of Endocrinology, we are given the opportunity to help prevent a variety of catastrophic conditions, such as heart attacks or strokes, by controlling the metabolic conditions that often contribute to the development of such events.”
Dr. Ferrer joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Endocrinology staff in 2008. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and sub-certified in endocrinology with a focus in diabetes and metabolism. He cares for his patients at Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic at The Vintage and The Woodlands Clinic locations.
Professional Background
After graduating from The University of Santo Tomas Catholic University of the Philippines in 1991, Dr. Ferrer finished his Internal Medicine residency at The University of Illinois at Chicago in 1997. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Endocrinology at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1999.
