MEET THE DOCTOR

Dr. Carlson joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 1998. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and currently cares for her patients at the Humble Clinic.
Professional Background
In 1994, Dr. Carlson received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics in 1998 shortly before coming to Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
Academic Position
In addition to her work with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Dr. Carlson is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
Clinical Interests
In General Pediatrics, Dr. Carlson Clinical has special interests in Development, Infectious Diseases – both viral and bacterial – Dermatologic Diseases, Adolescent Medicine and Gynecology.
“As for pediatrics, I love working with babies and children,” Dr. Carlson says, “and enjoy watching them develop and flourish into young adults.”

While completing her graduate work for her doctorate, Dr. Carlson published several abstracts and articles pertaining to molecular virology.

Hobbies and Special Interests
Dr. Carlson enjoys spending her time away from Kelsey-Seybold Clinic on family adventures that include visiting the zoo, frequenting museums, camping and hiking.
In addition to being sure not to miss her family’s favorite shows, Monk and Psych, she loves arts and crafts such as origami, clay work and making jewelry. She also enjoys singing in the choir, reading and completing the occasional Sudoku puzzle.
