The Partnership is an advisory group established to guide development of the Texas Health Care System Integrity Authority (THCSIA), a public-private collaborative designed to improve patient safety and healthcare affordability through electronic medical records and new health insurance options. Kelsey-Seybold and UnitedHealthcare Expand Access to Health Care for Houston Families.
Since December 1, members of UnitedHealthcare Choice and Choice Plus plans will have access to Houston’s largest physician group as well as the Kelsey-Seybold Ambulatory Surgery Center and other diagnostic services. With the expanded contract, all UnitedHealthcare commercial members (excluding Medicaid and Medicare) will have access to Kelsey-Seybold’s services. Read the press release.

Dr. Herbert Watkins Discusses Laser Treatment for Prostate Enlargement on KHOU-TV Channel 11
Traditionally, treatment for an enlarged prostate ranges from drug therapy to invasive surgery, but now Kelsey-Seybold Clinic physician, Herbert Watkins M.D. is utilizing a new treatment called Indigo Optima Laser Treatment System to treat sufferers of BPH. He is one of the few physicians in Houston performing this new procedure.

Kelsey Kids, Healthy Kids
Kelsey-Seybold physicians and the Kelsey Research Foundation have collaborated on a series of articles to help parents teach children healthy habits early on in life. The series includes tips for packing a healthy lunch, an activity pyramid, links for Houston-area activities, and more.
