HOUSTON, TX (Aug. 12, 2002) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Houston’s largest community-based multi-speciality physician group, has joined the Pearland community with the opening of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Silverlake on July 29.

Kelsey-Seybold Silverlake has opened in the location previously occupied by the St. Luke’s Health Center--Silverlake at 3402 FM 518 in Pearland. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic joined the St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System when St. Luke’s purchased the Kelsey-Seybold Management Company in April 2002.

Patients of the former St. Luke’s Health Center--Silverlake can continue seeking medical care in the same convenient location with added benefits, such as on-site laboratory and x-ray services. In addition, Kelsey-Seybold patients have access to 24-hour appointment scheduling and after-hours telephone access to registered nurses.

The following physicians are now on staff at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Silverlake:

Dr. Yong F. Li is a graduate from Shanghai Medical University, where he also received advanced training in surgery. He is a former research Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas—Houston School of Medicine. Dr. Li is fluent in both English and Chinese and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is Board Certified in Family Practice.

Dr. Y Beth Yip is a graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine where she completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics. Dr. Yip is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Yip, who is fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and Spanish, has been in practice at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic since 1994 and is Board Certified in Pediatrics.
