HOUSTON, TX (July 25, 2004) – For more than fifty years, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic has provided quality health care and outpatient services to the Houston area.  In its continuing commitment to deliver quality patient care, Kelsey-Seybold is pleased to announce these new services to their clinics. 

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic at St. Luke’s Medical Tower, located at 6624 Fannin in the Texas Medical Center, welcomes Atasu Kumar Nayak, MD, FACC, FACP to their Cardiology department.

Dr. Atasu Nayak joins the Cardiology department at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic on July 12, 2004, after completing his Interventional Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.  Dr. Nayak is a graduate of New York Medical College.  He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College and a fellowship in cardiology at Cornell University and the University of Missouri.  He was assistant professor in the department of medicine and division of cardiology at the University of Missouri, Columbia for five years after his fellowship.  Dr. Nayak is board certified in Internal Medicine, Intervention Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.  His areas of clinical interest include interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, endovascular intervention, closure of patent foramen ovale, interventional trials and research.  Dr. Nayak will work with me in the development of peripheral vascular disease and angiology programs in the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiology Office.
