Frequently Asked Questions about AUTO REFILL

What is AUTO REFILL?

With AUTO REFILL, the Kelsey Pharmacy will automatically refill each enrolled prescription whenever they are available to be refilled and will call or email you a friendly reminder letting you know your prescription is ready.

Why choose AUTO REFILL?

The AUTO REFILL program is ideal for most maintenance medications that are taken consistently from refill to refill.

How do I sign up for AUTO REFILL?

All you need to do is talk to your pharmacist about participating in AUTO REFILL. Once you do this, your pharmacist will have you complete an authorization form and get you enrolled.

I am signed up for AUTO REFILL, but I never get any phone calls or emails letting me know my prescription is ready. What could be the problem?

First, check your Spam or Junk mail folders to make sure the emails have not been automatically placed there. If so, mark them as “Not Spam” and add pharmacy.no-reply@kelsey-seybold.com to your email contact list or approved sender list to prevent this from happening.

For phone calls, please make sure the pharmacy has your preferred telephone number on file. If neither one of these suggestions helps, please call your pharmacy during business hours and we’ll look into it for you.

Are there any medications that are exempt?

Yes, the following medications are exempt from the AUTO REFILL program:

  • All controlled substances.
  • Because predicting a day supply on some medications can be difficult, medications such as creams, ointments and gels are exempt.

Why does my prescription need at least two refills to quality for AUTO REFILLS?

This restriction is in place to prevent you from adding medications that are not going to be enrolled in the program long enough to take full advantage of it.

If for any reason one of my currently enrolled prescriptions changes, do I need to re-add it to the program?

This depends on whether or not your prescription number changed. As long as your prescription number on your bottle remains the same, you do not need to make any changes to your profile. If your prescription number changes, you will need to add the new prescription to your profile if you want it enrolled in the program. To add to your profile, you will need to talk with your pharmacist.

Is there a minimum number or limit on the number of medications I can enroll in AUTO REFILL?

There is no minimum or maximum limit to the number of medications you can enroll.

Can I pick up my enrolled medications at any Kelsey Pharmacy?

The only Kelsey Pharmacy location that you can pick up your AUTO REFILL medications it the location listed in the email or phone call you receive notifying you that your prescription is ready. You can transfer your medication to a different Kelsey Pharmacy at any time and then re-enroll your new prescription number at that location.

What will happen if I have no refills and have enrolled the medication previously?

When we process one of your AUTO REFILL medications that no longer has refills, we will automatically contact your doctor’s office for authorization. Once we receive the authorization, we will fill your prescription and the new number will be auto-enrolled in AUTO REFILL.

What if I no longer wish to participate?

If you decide you do not want to participate in our pharmacy program any longer, you can easily opt out at any time. To do so, contact your pharmacist and let them know you do not want to participate in the AUTO REFILL program.
